In my song "Struggleville Holiday", there’s a verse about a diner called the Hazy Bean. There you can order things like a 'cup of catastrophe coffee' and a 'slice of rumination pie'. The truth is, those things never really satisfy us. They just leave us feeling more lost. I’ve spent a lot of time in 'Struggleville' over the years. As a songwriter and a storyteller, I’ve learned that the best way out of that desperate town is together. That’s why I want to record this EP—to remind us that even when we feel 'lost' we aren't alone.
